It's my favorite time of year and I love hitting every Festival, Market, & Farm the area has to offer!  Bring on the Hayrides, Pumpkins, Corn-Mazes, you name it!  Below you will find the BIG LIST of my favorite events and some new ones too (like Haunted Houses for your kooky teens...see October 31st below)!  Don't forget to check out next weeks Blog (Friday) for another fa'boo'lous giveaway!  And the Spooktacular Freebie Friday  giveaway ends tonight at midnight, so hit that Blog to register now!  Have a great season everyone!  Onward to the 2008 Fall Festival & Markets Calender (this Blog Spot will be updated regularly this month)...

First, let me start by telling you where you should begin.  If you don't already have a copy click here to get the Houston Chronicle's Fall Bazaar's & Festivals  insert that came with Sunday's paper several month's ago.  Me, along with several other fabulous ladies, advertised in it but most importantly it lists almost every market and event going on in the greater Houston area.  It is a goldmine of information!  Some of my other Fall Favorites are listed under my 'Outdoor Play' section of the website, like Dewberry Farm , Matt Family Orchard Harvest Festival, & for something new: TGR Exotics Pumpkin Patch on the Wild Side & you MUST go check out 7 Acre Wood....WOW!  Enjoy the list...

HAUNTED HOUSES
The Houston Press always has fabulous Haunted resources!  Another cool website I found will find you a Haunted house ANYWHERE in the USA by clicking on the state!  It is called Haunted House Online.  Here are your spooky local listings:
  • Phobia - 2 locations - one @ HWY 290 & one @ 45 Mall of The Mainland #713-526-DEAD (hahaha!  great number!)
  • Screamworld - right off the beltway near 45N. this place looks FREAKY!  Tons of attractions, way scary!  Click here to get directions and sign up for coupon!
  • Castle of Doom, The Sanitarium, The Texas Chainsaw Maze - map - off 45S just past 610.  SCARY!!!
  • Heart Stopper Fright - map - contact (59 N in Shepherd/Cleveland toward Livingston) OK, you could not pay me to do this one (but I want to go because I am sick and twisted that way).  FREAKIN' SCARY AS @&(#$!!!  At first, the website seems ho-hum.  Then the more you start clicking around the freakier it gets and it scared the crap out of me!  It's done outdoors in THE WOODS with FOG and indoors!!  NO FLIPPIN' WAY!  I called the owner and he told me that the indoor section is called NO MERCY >> once your in the indoors section there is only one way out and practically impossible to find.  GOOD GOD!  No props to scare you...ALL real people to chase you around this massive acreage.  They just opened last year and got a 10 skull rating (that's like 5 stars in Halloween lingo) from tons of panels.  Your teens will love it.
  • The Carnage - map - I10 @ Silber - this is an AWESOME website and looks FREAKY!!!
  • Stages of Fear - fun site!  located in Pasadena
