My weakness, my kryptonite, my Achilles Heal....CAKE! Kudos to you that make it pretty and taste like heaven. I love showing up to parties now-a-days and all the Mom's go gaga over the $100 cake. Gone are the days of Betty Crocker out of the box in Mom's kitchen...now it's who has the fanciest, most outrageous theme cake and DOES IT TASTE GOOD TOO? I love it! Bring on the masterpieces! Where can you get one? I have a list of ladies you may want to call for the best cakes in Houston...
- Bella Cibo These ladies did a KILLER Dino Cake for my cousins 4th Birthday! It was delicious!
- Take The Cake - #281-550-8448 off HWY 6 N. near W.Little York, in small little strip center. AWESOME cakes!
- Who Made The Cake - so fabulous!
- Sweetez Custom Cakes - love the Burger Cake!
- Cakes by Gina - voted 'best of weddings' in The Knot, and she does theme cakes too!
- Patty Cakes - This little mamacita is about to skyrocket into the press! Hearing more fabulous things about her yummy treats!
- Julie's Cakes - her Birthday Party cakes are so stinkin' fun I just can't stand it! She's fun & she has 3 locations!
- Sweet Treats - Her fillings are YUMMY!
- Cake Whimsy (she is retired but by far has the best looking and tasting cakes around...I think if we all call and bug her enough we may bring her out of retirement)
- Susie's Cakes & Confections - So stinkin' cute! Her work is gorgeous!
- Sweet Delights - The 'Peas in a Pod' cakes are TO DIE FOR!
- Virginia's Cakes Beautiful cakes!!
- Edible Designs by Jessie - darling mini cakes!
- More than Cakes So fun!
- Alma's Cakes - The BEST Tres Leches Cake around town!
- Amanda's Bake Shop - OK, she is cracking me up! I am trying to imagine the little old ladies in her bakery working on the 'nasty cake' orders. ahhahaa! If you have an adult party or bachelorette event...this is your gal!
- It's a Piece of Cake - I am speechless when I go to this website. Nina's next cake will come from this bakery. OMG. OMG. OMG.
Do you know of any fabulous bakers that want to be added to our list? Share the love! Shoot me an email with all their info!

OK, I know that is a tacky Blog title but those are the exact words I saw on Google when I went to create an Evite for Nina's Bday Party. Yes my stationary fans, I went paperless this year...totally against my mantra, I know. But it's a long, crazy, margarita induced story as to why I went with a web invite so let's have that talk another time, shall we? So, I was too lazy to just type in www.evite blah blah blah and I Googled it (yes, LAZY) and off to the right side I see this little title that said 'Evite Sucks, use Socializr'. Who can argue with that? So I click on it and WOW!

It's my favorite Holiday of the year...HALLOWEEN! Why? It marks the beginning of everything to come; Thanksgiving, family and friends in town visiting, Christmas, parties, New Year's, you name it! I love Halloween! Last year I got to throw my best girlfriend Amy a Halloween Baby Shower and I could not have been more thrilled! One thing I had at the shower were these little Halloween rubber duckies from Oriental Trading. We ordered baby ones too. They were everywhere. Guests took them home and I still had so many left over I handed them out with the candy for Halloween and the kids went bonkers over it. I have to admit, the Ninja Rubber Ducks are may favorite! Hilarious! If you are having a theme party they have these things in every 'theme' you can imagine (doctors, golfers, hippies, etc...).

Did you know Houston has an all girl Roller Derby league? Yup, and THEY ROCK! My husband's best buddy Andrew reminded me of these fancy ladies (who I have had on my website for some time now and failed to mention on the blog). I think this would be a great night out with the gals or date night venue! Skate on ladies....
